Synda joined the L.E.A.P. Board as fundraising chair in October 2024. Throughout her career, Synda has been a mission-driven leader with a unique ability to generate innovative programming for fundraising and for increasing membership. She is passionate about community-building that is focused on developing the next generation of leaders and believes that performing arts provides great opportunities for that development. Her work in fundraising and membership drives spans two decades and involves a diverse array of organizations like the NAACP, American Bar Association, and the Northern Virginia Black Attorneys. In addition to her community service work, Synda is an attorney practicing antitrust law. She holds a BA in African American Studies and Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University, an MA in African American Studies from Columbia University, and a JD from Howard University School of Law.
